Ms. Bennett was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. She attended Mount Carmel Academy High School in New Orleans. Ms. Bennett then attended college at Louisiana State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. She completed her law studies at Loyola Universityof New Orleans College of Law and obtained her J.D. degree in May 2015. She is licensed to practice in Louisiana, and focuses her practice in general civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance defense work. Ms. Bennett is a former intern to Chief Judge Brian Jackson on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, where she assisted him in his effort to revise the local court rules in that judicial district. She also formerly served as a law clerk for an energy exploration and development company doing contract review and legal compliance work. As a daughter of a veterinarian, she is an avid animal lover. In her free time, she loves taking her border collie Zoe to the dog park, running, and spending time with her family.
